A Statement by Brenda V. Castillo, President & CEO, National Hispanic Media Coalition
As part of NHMC’s mission to promote and increase Latino media ownership, we wish to congratulate two exemplary Latina leaders, Stephanie Valencia and Jess Morales Rocketto, on leading the launch of the
Latino Media Network (LMN). As one of the largest Latina-owned startups, with
$80 million in capital and the acquisition of
18 Hispanic radio stations across 10 markets, LMN is a prime example of how media ownership by Latinas can lead to culturally diverse content and proper depictions of our community. NHMC welcomes and celebrates the launch of LMN as an example of Latinas taking charge and leading efforts to change the narrative and take control of our own stories.
