In Players, Gina Rodriguez is New York sportswriter Mack, who has spent years devising successful hook-up “plays” with her best friend Adam, played by Damon Wayans Jr. While it has led to countless one-night stands over the years, Mack unexpectedly falls for her latest target, charming war correspondent Nick, played by Tom Ellis.
