NHMC's Visionary Alliance member, Diane Guerrero sits down with the guest host of The Daily Show, John Leguizamo
Diane Guerrero, (Encanto, Orange is the New Black, Doom Patrol) was a guest on The Daily Show on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. She sat down with guest host, John Leguizamo to discuss her work with NHMC and the Visionary Alliance.
Guerrero shared the necessary work for representation, in particular for women of color. A study from USC Annenberg and A12 found that there are only three women of color who directed a top 100 movie in 2022, and across 16 years of AI2’s research, women of color directed just 21 (1.3 percent) of 1,600 films.
It is time for change and proper representation in film and television!
