Heads of Entertainment at CBS, NBC and ABC to Keynote at 2014 NHMC MediaCon

The network heads of entertainment will discuss the changing climate of broadcast television and the importance of Latino inclusion at all levels of media

2014 NHMC #MediaConPASADENA, Calif. - Nina Tassler, the chairman of entertainment at CBS, who is also the first Latina to head a network, Jennifer Salke, the president of entertainment at NBC, and Paul Lee, the president of entertainment at ABC, will be the keynote speakers at the 3rd Annual NHMC MediaCon, presented by the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) at the Hilton Universal City Hotel on Thursday, March 27, 2014. In the keynote panel session moderated by NHMC President & CEO Alex Nogales, the network heads of entertainment will discuss the changing climate in broadcast television and what is in store for the future. They will also address the importance of diversity and the networks' efforts to include more Latinos, other people of color, and women both in front and back of camera. "Including the diversity of the American cultural fabric is not only the right thing to do, but it is also good for business," said Nogales. "Audiences expect to see themselves and their neighbors reflected in media-and NHMC is proud to have a good working relationship with these executives and their networks, to help bring about diversity both in front and back of camera." NHMC MediaCon is the premier annual event designed to advance the image and careers of Latinos in media. NHMC MediaCon convenes industry executives, national media influencers, media insiders, celebrities, as well as diversity, public relations and marketing professionals to network, share best practices, and discuss the role Latinos are playing in trends and emerging issues in the entertainment industry.
